Facilities are off-grid and solar powered, and buildings feature straw bale and cordwood construction. The main lodge and cabins are nestled in the meadows and forests of our 204-acre property. Workshop and retreat participants have access to a wood-fired sauna, flower and organic vegetable gardens, and a network of trails for self-guided hikes. Wintergreen Studios is one of a handful of eco-retreat wilderness centers in Canada. Located at 9780 Canoe Lake rd. Wintergreen offers a variety of two to five day workshops in fine and domestic arts and on sustainable building and living. Wintergreen also offers the space to groups and organizations who are interested in planning their own off-the-grid meetings and retreats.
