Festival Train
The Verona Farmers Market was hopping on Saturday. The Festival train, the Verona Express, made its debut. The conductor, Wayne Conway, was kept busy all morning, taking very eager young passengers for rides around the grounds. From the sound of train whistles and childrens laughter, it was clear that the train rides were a great success. The train will be a highlight of the Verona Festival just two weeks away. The train was created by the hard work of the Wednesday Morning Club, a group of men and women volunteers who meet every Wednesday morning to tackle building projects and "fix it up" tasks for different organizations in Verona.

Another building project that the group recently completed was the 9 hole mini golf course. It made its debut at the Lions Jamboree to the delight of young and old alike. The mini golf will also be located at the Verona Festival. The mini golf course is available for rental to the public and organizations. For information on terms of rental, contact Frank York 374-2835 or John McDougall 374-2516.

Don't forget to give at the Blood Donor Clinic, Thursday July 23, The Verona Lions Club will be hosting the Clinic from 2:30 to 6:30 pm at the Verona Lions Hall on Sand Rd.

The roster of 144 spots was filled early with many celebrity golfers among the players.
