Verona is looking very festive. The Verona Community Association decorated the barrels on Main Street with fresh cut evergreen sprigs and red bows. They also decorated the Holiday Wreaths, which the township hung on the poles. The Verona entrance signs now sport Winter Scenes. A friendly snowman greets everyone at the southern entrance and a brilliant red cardinal sings happily at the north entrance to the village. The residents and businesses have also done a great job decorating their homes and storefronts. It certainly puts one in the holiday mood.

Verona was brimming with Holiday Spirit in McMullen Park for the Christmas Tree Lighting as throngs of happy people gathered to sing Christmas songs with Bauder Road and chat with friends and neighbours in the brisk night air. Kudos to all the volunteers who helped, from the doling out of free hot chocolate and hot dogs to maintaining the firepit that helped keep us warm. For pictures of this festive event log see the main menu at left.

The "Best Christmas Pageant Ever" promises to be a delightful, funny play. The cast of over 36 children and 10 adults hail from Verona and all corners of Frontenac County. The delightful play takes a humourous look at a pageant that is anything but typical. The play runs from December 3rd to the 6th, at Sharbot Lake High School.
