Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbours, and let every new year find you a better man ~ Benjamin Franklin

Here it is the New Year 2010. There is excitement in the air as we think of what 2010 will bring to Verona. Volunteers start to shake off the winter doldrums and begin planning. Are you a volunteer? Make this the year that you become involved. For example, the Verona Community Association is always looking for eager participants to help with their many events. You can make contact via the website.

Verona bade farewell to one of our most loved residents, Dr Harrison Gordon Day. Dr. Day passed away on December 27th, surrounded by the love of his family. Our sympathies go out to his loving wife Louise of 47 years and to his three children, John, David and Susan. Dr Day set up his Family Practice in Verona in 1963 and served our community with diligence and compassion for 36 years. Dr Day was truly one of a kind. He will be sorely missed.
