Are you ready to vote in the Provincial Elections? Voting is easy. One important thing to remember to bring - identification. Your Notice of Registration Card is not enough, you are now required to show another piece of ID with your name (ID that matches the name on the voters list.) There are many forms of acceptable identification, which includes Drivers License, Birth Certificate, Old Age Security Card, Credit Card and more. If you are a qualified voter and your name is not on the voters' list, you can still vote with proper ID. However this one piece of identification must include both name and residential address. Bring this to the polling station and a Revision Assistant will help you register to vote. Verona residents will be voting at the Verona Lions Hall on Thursday, October 6. Polls will be open from 9 am to 9 pm. For more information on acceptable ID or how and where to vote, you can visit the website www.elections.on.ca or call 1-888-668-8683.
