The Frontenac Farmers Market at the Verona Lions Center was bustling this Thanksgiving weekend. With the beautiful fall weather prolonging the growing season, the market was full of vendors with their delicious produce. Verona is very lucky to have a farmer's market that brings us superb quality, locally produced, locally grown and locally homemade products every weekend. A special welcome to new vendors, Gordon and Mehrnaz of Miracle Green Farms from Enterprise. Their booth overflowed with many delicious varieties of vegetables - lettuces, herbs, tomatoes, celery, beets, etc - to home made pickles and jams. All the produce is grown naturally and is chemical free. Mehrnaz is an innovative farmer, she makes her own jalapeno pepper spray as a natural spray to keep the bugs off the plants and produces her own seeds. Drop by and chat with them next week. Learn all about their 300-acre farm and the fascinating business of natural farming. They welcome all suggestions and will even grow vegetables that they currently don't grow, to fill a customer's needs. You can also visit their website to place an order at www.miraclegreenfarms.com
