Chipper is back! As I was filling the bird feeder, Chipper the Chipmunk popped his head out of a newly dug hole by the feeder, chirped hello at me, and then dove back in. The little rascal has company. I am finding chipmunk holes in all my flower beds and so far have spotted two chipmunks - as feisty and spunky as ever. So someone must have e-mailed them that I was worried or maybe the chipmunks were just waiting out this crazy spring before making their appearance. I am just glad they are back and have returned to their jobs of chasing off the hordes of blackbirds who love to empty the feeders.
